Over the years we’ve published numerous tutorials on light painting (see some links below) but we’re yet to see a project like this one.
The images are created by Stephen Orlando from Ontario who attaches LED lights to the paddles of those using kayaks and canoes. He then uses long exposures to capture the repetitive fluid movement.
The results are visually beautiful. Here are a few more examples of his work.
