Photo Nuts and Shots: Tools and Techniques for Creative Photography [Our New eBook]

You can use a camera … but do you take great photos?

  • The dream – taking photographs that your friends think you paid someone for, not shot yourself.
  • The myth – that you just don’t have what it takes. You need better gear, you don’t have ‘the eye’ and you’ll never understand the skills needed to take amazing photos.
  • The reality – Great photography CAN be learned.  This book is the perfect companion on your journey to becoming a photographer.  It will teach you the techniques, tools, and thought processes used by the pros to take gorgeous photos. If you think creative photography is limited to those artistic types – think again.

Become a better photographer with Photo Nuts and Shots.

Here’s a little video we made about this new eBook (note: the guarantee is 60 days not 30 as it says in the video).

My ebook also had some blank photos when viewed in Preview on a Mac. Thanks to Ken D, all the photos are there in Acrobat. :D

  • Jim February 4, 2011 01:37 pm

e-books are fine but I wish it was just a plain ole book. Then I'd buy.

  • Daniel Scott February 4, 2011 01:30 pm

    @ken d - thanks, I was viewing with Preview. I'll try Acrobat.

  • Vicky February 4, 2011 04:56 am

Hi just paid for the book then found out I can't download to my iPad how can I re get it on to my pc can I go to an area to retrieve it

  • Ken D February 4, 2011 01:17 am

A little more on the "missing" photos ...

They are all black and white images and they are also "missing" when the file is opened on a mac with QuickTime Player v7 or with Safari.

  • Kathleen Andersen February 4, 2011 12:59 am

I'm scheduled to give a class on creativity and I'll definitely be giving the students a link to this book. It's a wonderful resource for the beginner and for those who struggle with the non-tech side of photography.

I had three times the imagined number sign up for my class which gives an indication of the need out there for this type of information.

    Great work, Neil.

  • Ken D February 4, 2011 12:53 am

Some photos on pages 22, 37, 39, 44 and 46 don't show when I open in Preview (mac) but are OK when the file is opened with Acrobat. In Preview they just show as a grey rectangle.

  • Paula February 3, 2011 09:27 pm

My book is ok. But the photo on page 46 is loaded slowly, maybe you changed the pages too quickly.

  • Daniel Scott February 3, 2011 02:39 pm

I just downloaded it, and after quickly scanning through it, it appears that I'm missing the photos on pages 44 and 46. Did this happen to anyone else?

  • Humberto Abed February 3, 2011 12:51 pm

This is the first ebook I have purchased my whole life, and I can't stop reading it. I have never had a photography class and this ebook just keeps my eyes wide open.

I may print it and take it with me everywhere, that's how good it is

Felicidades!! I'm looking forward to the next one.

  • Chris Kuhlow January 27, 2011 03:06 pm
