Funny Macro Dragonfly Photo

We loved this macro shot when we came across it today. It’s by Italian photographer Claudio Rossi (one of our favorite macro photographers over at 500px).

Check it out!

Shot with a Sony A7 body with a Sigma 150mm Macro lens.

Settings used for the shot were:

Shutter Speed: 1/3 s
Aperture: f11
ISO: 200

Claudio gives a little insight into the shot in comments on 500px.

Not easy in this case because this kind of dragonfly normally are active also before the sunrise. I found a location with a lot of this and I try, I found 3 “available” 🙂

The third one don’t accept to be placed in that place so I leave in another place and I concentrate with these two….. I can say that is possible but not easy, I obtain this shoot after 45 minutes of preparation (approximately)
