Hi
This post is funny! I heard a lot of things said to me when I was executing this 6 second exposure in New York’s Grand Central Station – most of which is unrepeatable….but it was certainly colorful and VERY NYC!

When I took this street photo the words to go with the expression were “Oh my God”
After that …. well words like it should not come from such a pretty girls mouth

OMG! When I first saw this a couple of months ago, I could not stop watching it or laughing! Best photography video I have seen in a long time! No matter how many times I watch it, it makes my day! This video is so soo true.

I had “so why are your photos look so good? Is it because you’ve got a good camera?” thought that’s was quite funny
May 11th, 2012 at 3:16 am

You are such a great photographer, you must have very expensive equipment
….Nobody would tell a cook that his food is great because he has expensive pots.
May 11th, 2012 at 5:47 am
Too funny! Thanks for the laughs.
May 11th, 2012 at 6:34 am

No word of a lie — “excuse me – could you dive under my dress and move my thong about an inch to the left? There is NO WAY I’m going to make it through the whole ceremony like this!!” From the maid of honor at the first wedding I ever shot as we stood in the foyer of the church about to start the grand entrance.

ROFL…love a good laugh in the morning. Cheers
May 11th, 2012 at 10:35 am
Three minutes too long IMO.
May 11th, 2012 at 10:56 am
That was Great!,
I think the guys voice made it!!
“That didnt work, there was no flash” all classic that just keeps on coming and coming.
“Do it again, your flash didnt go off”
“Here, I’ll take one of you… your screens not working?… use the viewfinder, what?”
May 11th, 2012 at 12:15 pm
“can you guys make my hair longer?”
here is another picture to make you smile

May 11th, 2012 at 3:25 pm
Haha! “So much money for a piece of paper.”
May 11th, 2012 at 4:55 pm
God how annoying people can be! For the moment I stay outside of portrait phothography XD
May 11th, 2012 at 5:44 pm
Oh yes!
The classic, “Are you a photographer?”, after they spot a DSLR on a big black tripod and big case full of kit on the ground, the urge to use sarcasm rises so hard as to give me a lump in my throat! “No the camera is there for show. this is actually a street-art installation questioning our need to capture the world in images!”
I love that one, “Oh no wonder your pictures like nice, you have such an expensive camera!”. Yeah thanks! Nevermind all that practice I put in week after week, all that reading I’ve done, eh? Nope I just went down to Calumet’s and bough the biggest camera I could find and magically started shooting images you thought are nice!
Still it’s better than one time an old gent walked up to me on the street and yelled, “Why you want to take pictures of this place?! It’s all s**t! That’s s**t! That over there is utter s**t! You don’t want to bother ‘cos it’s all utter s**t around here! I’m going home ‘cos it’s all s**t!”, yeah OK mate whatever you say!
May 11th, 2012 at 6:26 pm
That’s so funny. The part where he says…”how many mega pixels”‘.
I just started laughing cause one of my previous client ask me the same question. And also to photoshop every she didn’t like out.

This Shtuff was hilarious. What a day to start this with.
May 11th, 2012 at 11:43 pm
I love the “no wonder you take good photos look at that camera” If only it was that easy.
May 12th, 2012 at 12:20 am
Part of the reason I don’t often shoot people. I annoy WAY to easy. I’ll stick to landscapes & stuff tyvm.
May 12th, 2012 at 1:14 am
I’ve watched this video twice. I’m going to watch it again. It’s so much fun!
Hopefully it’ll teach some “models” to hang their egos on the door knob and make the planet a much better place!
May 12th, 2012 at 5:55 am

” what you paid all that money for that lens and it doesn’t zoom ? are you an idiot ? even my blacberry has zoom on. My camera has a 10x zoom and I dont even know what it means but at least the lens moves in and out ” That has to be my favourite quote from a family member

The only thing anyone has ever said to me so far was ‘Did you just take my picture?’…..and I said yes, I did, and it’s entirely legal……I saw you coming and you had to walk your two dogs, one on leash and one off, right by that goose standing on the seawall ledge (the seawall is 15 feet wide…he could have simply moved to the far side and kept his unleashed dog away from the bird) walked right by the goose and allowed your unleashed mutt to jump at him – you have no respect for the onleash bylaw or the federal laws protecting these birds from everything including harassment from your unleashed dog’…..after a ‘discussion’ he left, hands still clenched, trying to tell me I was ‘weird’ for taking his photo……

My personal favorite: I was shooting a event and a slightly drunk man walked up to me, looked at my 5DMark II and asked, “Uh… is that one of those pocket cameras, heh, heh? I looked at him, paused for a moment and said, “Well…. it all depends on how DEEP your pockets are, buddy.”

I loved this, very apropos. As a photographer of school students for yearbooks, I frequently am called, “Mr. Picture Guy” and often get asked, “Are you here to take our pictures?” Once a custodian asked if I was in the school to take pictures and I told him, “No, I’m actually here to fix the plumbing.” He got the joke. Later I saw him again and he asked if I fixed the plumbing problem and I said, “Yes, now they have me taking photos.” He got that one too.

I love walking up to a location bristling with my lenses, lightstands, bags, etc. and having someone ask, “Are you the photographer?” I’m often tempted to respond, ” No, I’m a proctologist and I’m here to conduct a colonoscopy.”
May 20th, 2012 at 7:30 am
Well done, very funny!
Thank god no one talks to me that way.
