See Nick Francher Create a ‘White Room’ with some Pegboard [Video]

While surfing on Youtube today I came across the following video from photographer Nick Francher creating a DIY studio setup that created a cool effect for photographing dancers.

In it he uses peg board to create a background which he then shoots light through to create what he calls a ‘white room’ (he also has white hard board on the floor and ceiling which reflects light around). – check it out!

Nick has shared a lot of images taken in his White Room on his blog (here, here, here and here are just a few).

That’s pretty cool, I’ve never seen pegboard used in this way before. Looks like a great project for my bonus room, here in the old NC piedmont some interior shooting space is valuable. TFS

That picture does not look at all like she’s pooping.

    I really admire Nick’s work!

By the way, the name is spelled incorrectly. It’s actually “Nick Fancher”.

    Disturbing pose, very cool background!

Using a pegboard is clever, and the outcome is brilliant. Love the background score, video games :D

I was wondering what settings you used for your camera when taking these??

Cool effect. In trying to look up more of his work on YouTube I realized you spelled his name wrong! It is Nick Fancher.
