23 Inspirational Images of a Rainy Day

Ever put time aside to get out with your camera and do some photography only to find that the weather turns and the heavens open – spoiling your outing?
Don’t let the rain spoil your day – instead USE the rain – make it a feature of the images that you take. Rainy days can be moody, they present you with wonderful features like reflections, people dashing about with umbrellas, kids playing in puddles, water drops almost every surface and much more.

I love taking pictures in the rain. You need to protect your gear of course and there are special “raincoats” for cameras.

Is picture No 4 reversed?

Picture 4 is not reversed – it is a picture of the photographer taken looking into a mirror.
And ccting – you don’t have to risk gear in the rain – an umbrella or plastic bag will keep it dry, or you could stand in shelter (like a doorway). Even a large hat will work. And some of these pictures could have been taken just after the rain had stopped. Or even with an underwater housing!

For those that are saying you won’t risk your equipment, there are plenty of covers you can buy for your camera’s even with a long lens on them. My camera is waterproof (and only a P&S but still takes great pictures). I love taking pictures in the rain though I haven’t managed to get any as amazing as the ones posted above yet.
