i had my camera upside down once, on a tripod, about 20mm of the road. LOL. i wanted a crazy low angle. so i set my tripod up as low as it could go, put the camera on, and turned the head around and what not so the camera was hanging down upside down. and yea. lovely low shot.

When I first started reading this thread, I thought "This guy's a joke!" But then I read on and realised that there's merit in this idea, especially when the flash is at the bottom of the shot - illuminating the car against a bright sky inspired me. Well doen everyone for some really great ideas - tfs.

Shame I don't have a built-in flash on my camera!

This could be handy say, if the subject was back lit and u wanted fill flash with the lens open more.. you could rotate the camera so that say the darker part (were the shutter is covering the exposure because its to fast) is at the sky.
You will get a faster shutter speed and fill flash and no loss of light since your flash cant light up the sky anyway
Yeah that's what i thought the thread was going to be about! I've never tried this... but if i ever need to... knowing is half the battle.
