Default How to add a link in your Forum Signature

For those of you who would like to add a "hyperlink" to your signature to link to your personal website, Flickr page, or any similar place, here is a quick guide to help you do so.

The first place you will have to go is to the "User CP" in the upper left corner of your DPS Screen, and then clicking on "Edit Signature" which is on the left hand side under "Settings & Options"

Sig

You are then taken to this page where you can edit your signature. The key is using the Link button to add the code to your signature.

You will enter in the website you want the link to point to, as well as creating a "name" for the link. In this case, I want to link to my Flickr account, but want the word "Flickr" to be in color.

Sig
You can see the code broken down here.
The first section shows where the link is.
The second section shows I want to use the color Blue for "Flick".
The third section shows the Red "r".
The final section "closes" the link.

I broke it down so you could see the individual sections above, but the final product will have no spaces, as seen here:
Sig

If you have any questions, ask them here and someone can help you out!

Good stuff.

Wulf came up with an added edge to this by finding the closest HTML colours to the flickr logo instead of the red and blue. Shameless plagerism has my signature looking like this...

flickr

The code looks like this

HTML Code:
[url=http://www.flickr.com/jamesfletcher][b][color=#0063dc]flick[/color][color=#ff0084]r[/color][/b][/url]

Since the signature is only allowed five lines which mine is, when you go to edit it, the code takes up more lines than actually will appear. For one word in color the code is too long if you already have four or five lines in your sig. Any way around this?

The amount of code shouldn't matter (at least I don't think so). When I look at my siggy with it showing all the code, its like 14 lines long! All that matters is what is actually going to show up. But remember, even a blank line still counts as one of the 5 lines.
