Default Ingo's Photo Tips

I started posting daily Photography Tips in Google+ in September and haven't missed a day without a tip since then. If you are interested in following my free tips, you can either search for #ingosphototips on Google+ or use the Ingo's Photo Tips website that automatically gathers all those posts from Google+.

If you like it, share it with your friends. I"m not planning to make any money with this but rather want to give something back to the community from which I learnt most of what I know today about photography.

Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks
-Ingo Meckmann

How about actually posting some tips/tutorials instead of just trying to use DPS to drive traffic to your site?

Hey Ingo, whilst I welcome your posts here on dPS, we would prefer that, if you're just after advertising your own website that you contact someone via the contact form above and talk about advertising budgets. That said, please feel free to continue be a part of dPS, maybe with just a little bit less SELL and a bit more HI!

How do you come up with a useful tip every day for 90 consecutive days (and still going)??

Day1: move closer
Day2: move back
Day3: zoom with your feet
Day4: frame with your zoom lens

To be fair, I haven't followed the links. But I just can't image what you could come up with....
If it is all "good stuff", you should write a book not a blog or g+....

Ok. I went to your blog thinking maybe I was being harsh.....
I didn't see a single "tip" on the entire first page.

The tips are in his photo tips link, not the blog.

Wow, that's not the response I was expecting... really. :-(

I was trying to be helpful, provide information. In case you haven't noticed but I'm not trying to make money with this - I just wanted to give something back.

If you check my websites, you will not find a single ad that would provide any income. All I wanted to do is share the information that I'm providing - for free!

I guess this is the wrong place, so just forget about it. I don't need this.

Your reaction is understandable, as was ours.... It mostly comes from the fact that you have 13 posts and at least 1/2 have been about "your blog" in some way or another...it seems a fairly blatant "drive for followers".
I get that you are not selling/profiting and you do nice work IMO.

Here's my take on "how it should be done"...
First, remember we are a "community here", we invite all to "participate". As such a better approach would be to copy/paste some of your tips into an appropriate area. Copy/paste a tutorial under tutorials, a how I took it blog post into "how I took it". Share your work in sys/critique (if you honestly want a critique) and so on....Feel free to state it's a copy/paste from your site/blog/ whatever. Eventually people will follow your work/visit your sites because they want to, not because they have to...

You have talent, I'm pretty certain all would welcome you to participate "here"...

Just my 2c.
