Default Getting Sharper Photos

Can anybody suggest how to get sharper images on D90?

And, How does Noise affect the photographs?

I have 18-105mm lens and 70-300mm lens.

Thanks,
M

The best thing to do would be to post a sample image with EXIF data so people could see what you're seeing as unsharp images.

Step 0: Learn how to hold your camera properly.

Step 1: Learn to focus accurately.

Step 2: Learn to use a fast enough shutter speed to avoid camera shake blur (1/focal_length rule) and subject motion blur.

Step 3: Learn to stop down for DoF/sharpness. Find your lens's sweet spot. And stop shooting wide open all the time.

Step 4: Learn to light, so you can do 2) and 3).

Step 5: Learn how to sharpen and reduce noise in post production.

Alternatively, you could go through the DPS article on How to take sharp digital images in the For Beginners section.
