Thumbs up Shooting glassware on white background: hi-key in product photography

I am new to this community, so let me introduce myself first: Alex Koloskov, Atlanta based studio photographer. I specialize in product, jewelry and food photography.. everything I do is in the studio.
I am completely self-taught guy, never had any photography - related education, cources, books etc... Trial and error I my learning technique.

On this post I'd like to introduce you to one of the tutorials from my blog (akelstudio.com/blog):

Shooting glassware on a white background.

The article is long, featuring step-by-step lighting build to get these final images. Below is the outcome and final version of the lighting setup.

Hi-key:

And a variation of the same (but with simpler lighting):

The first one was shot in the lighting cube (I do not like this device, but this time it worked fine):

the second was done with only 2 light sources:

I do not want to re-post the whole article here, you can read it on the blog,
where you can find how I came to such results; my usual trial and error method:

Shooting glassware on white background, or how to make transparent visible

Let me know if you have any question, I'll be glad to answer any of them;-)
I am not sure if Darren Rowse read this thread, but I'll be glad to write some cool tutorials for the photography school main website.

Alex
