Default outdoor mom and two sons portrait tips?

somebody can give me tricks for outdoor family photos (portraits), WORKING ONLY WITH
CAMERA NO EXTRAS.

1) be sure and remember to take off the lens cap.


If you can be a little more specfic, i bet you will get a few decent bits of advice. What are you having trouble with now? Or how have previous attempts been disapointing?

yes, i want totake some photos of my family and some friends; i like to use only my camera, is more exite and hard i know but i like to try it.

Meaning no supplemental lighting, reflective screens, or filters? Or, no post-processing after the shoot?

Just watch where the sun is in the sky and avoid harsh downward shadows across their faces. Put them in the shade if it is a bright, sunny day, focus and shoot, shoot, shoot! Most of all HAVE FUN!

I wonder what camera you use, but for group photos a wide angle lens would be really helpful. There's only very few times i find my 50mm f/1.8 difficult to operate, and it is while shooting group photos!
