This seems to be good advice for adjusting a lot of things in general. I was originally given this advice in regards to audio production in a university class, and I naturally applied this to adjusting photos as well. I found that when I don't, I'm more likely to come back to an image later and realize it's over saturated, underexposed, too contrasty, etc.

Seems to be a quirk of how the brain and the senses perceive changes? There's a tendency to over compensate to notice the change you're making.

Aside from that aside... Great tutorial! I'm relatively new at editing RAW, taught myself through trial and error, and now see some mistakes in my process. Kudos!
