Cool Sunday Postcards 24th. January 2010

It was a gray day that threatened rain, so it was back to Glasgow Cathedral and I was able to try out my 35mm 1.8 lens, it was a new experience moving to get a picture instead of just zooming in or out. I hope you like them

These are all so well composed and I like your perspectives on these. You did well inside with that new lens!
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.

Hello Bill ------ I think you pick a perfect place to try out your new lens ... it's a super fast lens and it's great for low lights ... the clarity on these images is superb .. color, composition and perspective ------ all there ..... very very nice

Thanks Mike, I really am enjoying this lens, I would have liked to tried it on a tripod but not allowed in Cathedral

What a magnificent old church! I love your perspective in each one of these -- it really shows off the amazing lighting. Lovely set, Bill.

These are great Bill. I like the colours and the composition and if thats down to the 35mm, then well done to it as well.
Your pictures have lifted my spirits after a washed out weekend here in the N.W.
The best I managed was to iron am load of shirts shirts while watching the second series of 24.

Thanks Steve, I primarily bought the lens for inside low light pictures and it certainly does the job.
