Default Dripping

During a brief respite from the storm yesterday I noticed the berries on the Nandina by my patio, and went out to play with my 50mm. It really is nifty!

I liked the way the background trees feel like winter:

Winter Berries

And I loved the bokeh!

Berries and Bokeh

Thanks to Paul and Patrick, I tried to be very intentional about composition. Let me know what you think ..... and thanks for looking!

I think the red berries in the foreground also contribute to the wintry feel of the first one. Thanks!

Nicely captured, Helen. That first shot does have a winter feel to it and I love the vibrant red berries in your second shot. TFS.

First one looks good! I like how the bright red contrasts against the frosty background.
