Default Patrick's suggestion - THANK YOU PJ

Patrick saw something in one of my photos that I missed. He suggested it to me and I ran with it,

Here's the original, ( btw the water marks come off when they get the photos and dvd )

paul and maria fireworks

I don't see shapes as well as he does, but both Jim and Patrick have me working on that.. He saw a Heart in the fireworks behind the couple and let me know !

PMFW

I removed some of the lines through thier heads and added some where I thought it might look better. I'm still tweeking the shape of the heart not exactly happy with it and it looks a little cheesy , but I wanted to show it and thank Patrick the best way I know ... show him !

thanks buddy,

Vin

Hey Vin...one more suggestion.....it looks like there is more smoke over their head than in the original? I would remove the smoke entirely above the couple......makes them look like one smoking hot couple...lol Is there a way you can confine the smoke to the perimeter of the fireworks and let it be black among the stars?

Well bud if you were to look close, you'd see it says " heart by PJ " in the smoke, just kidding LOL .

I was debating if I should use the greyish smoke fill or more clear and black..I see what you mean, it's distracting.. I'm still playing with it, and I agree it'll look better when thier heads aren't smoldering.

With such randomness in the background , I can pretty much do whatever I want with it.. opacity makes it easy to clone or heal with a soft brush.

We'll get another look tomorrow, I might even rip apart a few of my fireworks shots and combine something less spikey... not really sure,, but now I'm curious on what I can do with it, I just don't want it to look like a hack job.

Thanks very much,

Vin

Hey, Vin, Lin....What a great suggestion to find the heart in the photo. Aren't you the guy who once said "I don't do portraits?" I guess you do! One of my favorite parts of the photo is seeing your name and the word "Photographer". That makes my heart sing! Really nice work, Vin. Love, Lin
