Default The Morning After--B&W Snowstorm

It snowed all week. I mean ALL week. It started mid-afternoon last Sunday and stopped early this morning...Friday Morning. At least there is plenty of water for wildflowers in the spring...

Anyhow...I went down to see how "my horses" were doing after this viscious storm...

When the Clouds Break
When the Clouds Break

Cold and Foggy Morn
Cold and Foggy Morning

Of course...par for the course...the sun warmed up, and the cloud base lifted above 15,000', and everything started to melt. But those hgh level clouds hung in there. This storm might not be quite over just yet...

Colt Portrait

Thanks for taking the time to look!

Your photos are exactly why I Love B/W . Well done. You can feel the breathe of the horses.

What a wonderful set -- three beautiful photos. I love both the dreamy focus of the first and the crisp focus of the last -- two totally different moods with the same subject and setting. Nice!

Great set of B&W shots. The horses seem to be posing for the shot. Nicely done.

Thanks, everyone, for the comments! The first shot is actually processed using the Orton Technique. There was more fog for the first shot, and it started breaking up for the others. So the first shot was really difficult to get good focus. Rather than battle the soft-edging from the fog...I processed for the Orton Effect, exaggerated the softness, and that's what I got!

Thanks again for taking the time to look and comment!
