Exclamation Strawberry Jesus. With ALL respect to ALL Religions.

Here is some of the pictures I have been working on. I know that some of you think that I'm wrong for using the image of Jesus but the colors and his face brings a amazing sense of everything is ok to the pictures.

It is a very unusual portrayal...but I am not sure what the subject is or what in the shot am I supposed to be looking at......The notion of impaling strawberries along a picture of Jesus who was also impaled naturally draws us in for a comparison of sorts. It is here where I get lost. You are the artist, what was your vision and inspiration in creating this? It is sure to be interesting.

There are a few things that came to mind. I was raised catholic but I don't practice. The five strawberries for the 5 wounds of Jesus. The actual shape of the fruit is because it looked like a heart. I wanted to show that even in the middle of all suffering he appears to remain calm. I know that the shot might not show the viewer that but I always want to put together anything that comes to mind before is all gone.

Thanks for the comments. What does other people think?

Really creative, once again, Juan. The way the strawberries echo the sacred heart is fascinating. I think I like the second one best ..... the colors and softness appeal to me. I find the B&W a little too graphic for my tastes, but that was the one that let me make the strawberry/sacred heart connection even before I read your response to Patrick, so perhaps that might be the one that best communicates your vision. I find these both stimulating and challenging, and I thank you for that.

Thank you very much for your nice comments. I'm waiting for other fruits but they are not in season. Thanks again.
