I really like both of these shots. The first shot has some really well done composition work, and the second is a great B/W. Great use of lines and patterns, it has a very interesting texture too

The first shot was interesting because I really thought it was junk. My son was very dark since the camera exposed for the sun. In Lightroom I cranked the recovery and fill light sliders all the way right and I liked the results. Since I was pushing it so far it generated a lot of ugly noise. I cleaned it up using Noise ninja and then added blacks to get some contrast back and voila! The second picture has some really lovely colors in it but I liked the texture and composition so I decided to try a black and white and I like it.
