New to the forum

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum too, been lurking and reading for ages while thinking about joining for a while. Sold a framed print of one of my photographes last week so I though I best join and get some advice on how to's and here I am!!

Below, if I have done it right, you should see two of my attempts. Both are early morning shots along the River Murray in South Australia. One depicting the quiet stillness of the river in early morning and the other of the cliffs on one side of the river. Any thoughts welcome

@Jim, not the one i sold as one that I have been told "breaks all the rules"! It is on the river, taken at sunrise and with a centred horizon.

Love your shots. In the case of your flaming arrow shot, breaking the rules was the right thing to do. At least, that's my opinion.
