Default University Rotunda B&W

This shot was taken at Simon Fraser University a number of weeks ago. I showed a friend an 8x12 print and he said it reminded him of a scene from Battlestar Galactica! I thought this was quite entertaining. I loved the lighting in this shot, and once again the inclusion of a person, blurred from a 2 second exposure.

I really like this. There are so many points of interest in this shot. I really like the lighting too. Also the straight lines of the stairs moving into the design on the ground below really drew my eye into the shot. Actually, it does kind of have a science fiction vibe!

Maybe you could have possibly photoshopped the guy out if you wanted, but I probably wouldn't have noticed it right at first if you hadn't had said something. I like the contrast and the tone given by the B/W just works really well. Gotta love the repeating patters you have captured.

Great photo! I love the contrast and all the lines in different directions to each other. Fantastic lighting, and yes, it definitely does give out a SciFi effect with the central circular portal up top with light coming through! A wonderful choice to photograph.

Hi Paul - I think I remember seeing this particular photo from an early set of yours .. and I agree the motion blurr adds dynamic to the photo ...

Hey there Hayward. You had me thinking after mentioning a possible previous post, but this one is slightly different in where the person is in the frame, and the amount of blur. I like this one much better than the last one. Cheers mate.
