Default Ice, Ice, Baby...

We were hit with ice yet again. Have had more periods of no power than with, so I braved the slipperiness of the blanket of ice to try & find the beauty in it.

Spring, please hurry!

Thank you all for the comments! We went out tonight (roads weren't too bad) & I got a lot of crazy photos - so many without power as lines & limbs are fallen everywhere. Here's my favorite shot out of the bunch (only bumped brightness/contrast slightly):

and quick shot for scale:

Some great shots there! I especially like the simple repeating patterns in the shot of the ilittle icecycles on the railing...and I really dig the street scene where the ice storm appears to have devestated thecity. very nice captures.

Thank you all for the nice comments! We've been without power since 2am, but it's back on... for the moment. The ice is pretty, but wreaks a LOT of havoc! My camera has given me a chance to appreciate the simple beauty of the ice - without it, I think I'd have gone nuts by now!
