Default Reproducing What the Eye Perceives

Good Morning my DPS Family! I've just finished reading an E book by Mitchell Kanashkevich, called "Understanding Post-Processing". Also a very good tutorial on HDR processing at HDR Photography – All about HDR

So last night I decided to try to do a little more post processing on a few shots I've shared before. To see if I could improve them and hopefully share what My Eye perceived when I took the original photo.

Glory (I used Photo Matrix Pro and did a little tone mapping to bring out the "Glory" in this one.

Ayutia Thailand (I converted this to an HDR image in Photo Matrix Pro and then did some additional tone mapping and some Magic in CS4)

Ayutian Temple (I applied Tone Mapping in Photo Matrix and blended the layers in CS4 to bring out the details and the sky in this one.)

I hope you enjoy these!
Have a Blessed Day!
Michael.

I never met any 'glory' yet, that wasn't made even better with a little TLC and PP.

I like all these Michael, but the first is really quite stunning, its and excellent picture and when a picture is that good who cares if it was PPd or not.

DPS just got even better

Michael this is a really nice set. I like the HDR as it is not overcooked as you see quite a bit of. TFS.

Hi Michael - a little experimenting has produced some great results in these images... I like what you're doing with these

Thanks Mike! I think that's why I've stayed away from HDR for so long, I've seen so many that are overcooked and was a little afraid to venture into it. But now that I have a little better understanding, perhaps I'll try a few more.

That first shot is a wonderful and natural rendering...the bricks in the following shot look very red...were they really this red?

Thank You Patrick, the bricks were actually pretty red, here's another shot from the same area, you can see the bricks are red as well. I probably chould have desaturated them just a little more though!
