Default Entrance Island

This shot was taken while visiting my mom over the Christmas holiday. The lighthouse in the background is Entrance Island. I loved the reflection in the tidal pool in the foreground, and the patterns and texture of the sandstone.

Wow Paul, I love this capture. There is just something about it that just keep me looking again. Wonderful textures and the black and white really does it justice. Great work my freind.

Dave.

I agree with Dave, this is an image that keeps your attention for a long time, it's fabulous Paul. It has an almost surreal aspect to it - very dreamy. In addition to the things about it that you mention you like, I also love the whole "perspective" issue that comes into play - the "tiny" lighthouse across the horizon against the size of the rock formation in the foreground. How high is that rock formation Paul, just out of interest?

Really nice Paul, I like the B&W, the reflection and the detail in the rocks!

I agree, the contrast, the reflections and the texture of this shot really do work together very well to create a pretty solid shot. Thanks for sharing
