I had said last Friday I stumbled across a unique scene and the afternoon went quite well, here are 4 more shots from that day. I had also mentioned the water is from snow melt, as there are no misconceptions.... we get warm winds that come from the southwest (the Gulf) called Chinook winds. They tend to put a thaw on things, but by no means is our winter over. The past 2 years we have had up to 8 inches of snow into the 2nd week of June. I have a few more shots of what I think are the best coming in part 3 soon! BTW I have B/W conversions posted on my flickr that look equally good!

Love the texture and patterns in the rock formations Duane. Snow in June? Thought we had it bad.

Lovely collection Duane, this was an interesting find for sure. It's cool how the rocks have different color tones in them - even some purple tones in the first shot. I like the contrast between the red and dark brown tones in the 2nd too.

what a great view Duane! love the contrast of the white cascading water against the stacks of the brown rocks..the composition is really pleasing to the eyes..the details you captured on the first one is wonderful..like the way you presented your shot with some scale on the third..
