Default Different Take of the Same Sunset

These were taken in the same place but different time..Although I am extremely enjoying my G11, I am still afraid of the big M – Manual Mode! (I've been with my P&S for far too long..haha..) Got to confess that I use semi-automatic most of the time..the first and second were taken at sunset mode and the last one is after a few minutes but in a night setting..(*sheesh..i will get on to it..just give me time..like a year maybe?lol)

tnx for looking!

Nice captures Jennie, they could be used to document the change of seasons even if they are all taken during winter.

Hi Jennie, the way I see it when you can get shots like these why would you want to go to Manuel Mode. I really like the color reflections in the 1st shot. All 3 have beautiful color and nice shilouettes, very nice and a beautiful location!

Jennie these are stunning. I think the 2nd one is my favorite for the composition you chose - I love the silhouettes of the plants/branches. But I love the blues in the last one too. As for going manual - photography is a hobby that each of us here share - but it doesn't mean we all have to do it the same! The end result & how much enjoyment we get out of taking it are what matter - the exact route we take doesn't matter.

Wow Jennie, your sunsets are gorgeous and the colours are stunning. I'm sure you will soon be in full manual mode but remember its what your eye sees and you saw and captured so much beauty in these photographs. Beaurtiful work Jennie.

Dave.

Got to confess that I use semi-automatic most of the time.

Nice selection, I like them all but I was interested in your comment.
People used to claim they were better drivers because they drove a car with a manual shift rather an automatic.
Never saw a camera yet they chose a subject for it's beauty or hummed a tune while enjoying the shot.
These are lovely pictures Jennie, great job

Well I think you have done a stunning job on these sunsets Jennie. I really like them all, especially the silhouette in the second. And don't think you are the only one around here that is afraid of "manual" LOL It takes time to learn!
