My father and I got together this weekend and played around with taking pictures of different types of drops. We used water and milk. Toward the end we dropped milk onto a flat piece of steel. Right where the drops were hitting we put a few drops of food coloring. We got some interesting results.
These were taken with an inferred beam triggered timer that I built. Getting the perfect timing was challenging, but that was half the fun. Here are some of the water shots. We tried different back grounds to get some interesting patters. If you haven't tries some of these shots they are a lot of fun! You never know what you will get.

Wonderful!
The last one is my favorite: the repeating pattern inside the repeating drops is awesome, and the capture ss sharper. Very good, I love it.

Brilliant! Great drop shapes and great colours. There's a whole DPS group dedicated to water drop shots. They will go ga-ga about these ones.
Thanks for sharing, and I don't think I've seen you around before so, welcome to DPS!

These are great milk and water drop shot. I like the second and fourth ones best. I have yet to try it myself but it sounds like fun.
