I wanted to include this one in the thread, too, but it would have put me over the 4 photo limit & it didn't quite fit in the story line. Rocco is a red-eared slider.

Great series of Rocco. I will NOT show these to my daughter, since her latest phase is asking for a turtle. I have to say, he is kind of cute, though . . .

I have to say, he is a great pet! Very cheap, too. And quiet. His aquarium is on one of our bathroom counters, and he 'follows' us when we walk by him. He also taps his shell on the glass if he's hungry.
