Default First shots, and first posts

i just got my canon 1000d (xs) over break so ive only used it for like 2 weeks but ie been trying to learn and just cram my brain full of anything and everything i would ever use, and these are my first shots. please feel free to comment and just let me no what you think.

I agree, you are off to a fabulous start. All three of the pictures, with the first two in particular are extremely well lit, very well done job.

Thanks for sharing these with us -- looks like you're really having fun with your new camera. Love the one of your sister -- just beautiful! BTW, when you're posting photos, if you click on "all sizes" above the photo in Flickr, then click on "medium" and copy the first link under the photo, you can then paste that link into your DPS thread -- that way the photo will show up right in your post and people won't need to click on the link. I think you'll get more views and comments that way. A little tricky at first, but it soon becomes second nature! And welcome to DPS!
