Good Morning!
(I am not sure what section this should go in.. I made a guess and I am probably wrong, so if it needs to be moved, please let me know :-) I didn't put it in the critique section because I wasn't looking for a critique on a specific photo...) I am entering a local photo competition from my hometown, Jupiter, Florida. The purpose of the compeition is to feature photos that "capture Jupiter's unique characteristics". The competition is part of an overall festival called "Jupiter Jubilee". The theme of this shindig is "Historically, Naturally, Beautifully, Culturally, Uniquely ... Jupiter.”....very specific...lol Anyways, I went out to the Jupiter inlet and beach one morning for some sunrise photos and I want to use one of them in the contest. I am looking for some unbiased opinions... I have my favorites...but that doesn't mean they are any good. Which is your favorite? Which is the most appealing? Which do you think captures the spirit of the competition? For those of you who don't know anything about Jupiter... it is a coastal town in Florida..lots of beaches, boating, fishing.. basically a beautiful vacation destination minus anything touristy. The water is usually beauftifully blue and the weather is amazing (except for the occasional hurricane) (kind of a great place to be from ) I have narrowed down the photos to this list: Jupiter Jubilee Photo Contest - a set on Flickr If you are interested... these are what i had narrowed down from... sunrise at the inlet 12-30-09 - a set on Flickr Here are a few of my favorites for the competition at least... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for your time and have a great day! Hi nsa - you'll definitely get more responses if you embed some images into this thread directly - most people won't go the next step to open up a website in order to make a comment. You can only post 4 images in one thread though, and one thread daily - might be worth considering choosing your own 4 favorites & posting them here. That will also make it easier for folk to vote on too! All beautiful though.

Boy, that's hard because every one is wonderful in it's own right, but I would have to go with one of the first two. Further than that I cannot choose.

Awesome choice of 4! I think my favorite is the first too - stunning & dramatic sky, & I like how much of the photo it occupies. Great silhouette & great contrast between the colors.
There is a way that you can "flag" your thread on the list so people know it's a voting thread - and also some way in which you can provide "buttons' 1-4 so folk can simply click on the number and make their choice. Sadly I don't know how to do those things though! Maybe someone else will chime in and help you there - or you could send a message to one of the moderatros to see if they might be able to help you.
