I have numerously whilst out and about seen people on the street that I have really wanted to take a picture of, but never really had the guts to ask if I could take a proper picture of them. I have quite a few times asked if I could take a pic, but that is exactly what I have done. Quickly snapped away a photo without looking properly through my viewfinder or my settings and rapidly retreated and always been a bit disappointed with the results.
And now finally I have broken that barrier. I saw this feller hanging around on a side street away from the busy market on Porttobello Market in this narrow corridor with some lights hanging off the ceiling. I thought the bright out doors and the corridors lights made a really nice balance and could not miss another opportunity. He had no problems with me taking pictures even though I took my sweet time getting my settings and composition right. Let me know what you think. ![]() I am quite pleased with the results and got to know a bit of about his life working at the market. This is something I will need to repeat again and highly recommend to everyone!

Great shot, and good for you...I have done so as well, and it's scary at first, but all they can do is say no.
