This was originally posted in a response to a comment in another thread I had started (see original here) but I felt this story deserved its own thread so moved it and edited the other to point to here.
This is all about Robert and his house. ![]() I don't know if the pump still works but that window A/C is about the only modern convenience he has. ![]() He uses an old wood stove for heat and cooking. ![]() I was out on one of my country drives when I saw his house with a tiny tendril of smoke out of the chimney. I stopped to ask about some pics of the outside and he comes to the door and you can tell he'd had some of Granny's rheumatism medicine (this was maybe 11am on a Sunday.) He wound up giving me a tour of the place and also of the pond out back. Very nice fellow.
