Default 1400klms later.....

Yesterday we set off on a little journey, a planned 1100klms seemed like a long but a good day travelling, however, we didn't count on flood water that is slowly making it's way through the centre of Australia and moving down through the river system flooding the roads. So after making many changes to our route we eventually made it to our days destination. There was no time to stop so just before we arrived we stopped for a couple of photos.
Just outside Broken Hill 1400klms from home.

After all those months of wishing for rain and now there is flooding, that's nature for you. Great shot, love the red/brown earth against the blue sky.

Awwww, sorry about the floods, wow that is a long way to go. I love your photograph, the colours of the landscape are gorgeous. I'm sure there will be many more pics from your trip.

Dave.

I love the contrast of redish landscape against the blue skies with some floating clouds.

Nice capture. TFS

Well it hasn't actually rained anywhere near where it's flooding. We had rain in Western Queensland at the begining of the year and it is only now making it's way towards Adelaide.
