Default Pier B&W

I know I have not been on DPS for some time, but I guess I have been too busy to get out and shoot new shots lately. Anyway, I decided I would revisit some photo ops I had shot earlier in 2009. I also decided that I would post one shot per thread as time is precious these days! LOL! Nikki kindly sent me a letter saying she missed my B&Ws, so I will begin there. This shot was taken early one morning during my Christmas holiday at the Whiterock pier. I considered putting this in for our club's monthly theme for December, which was long exposures (2 seconds or longer). This was a 2 second exposure. The lady that walked by looked at me in a funny way when I approached her, and asked i she could slow the pace down so I could see her image a little better. I promised her she would not be identified, which she definitely is not! I hope you guys enjoy this shot as I did, and please leave any kinds of comments/ words of wisdom. Thanks for stopping in.

Hi Paul...
There you are You and your B&W photos have been missed.
I love this one... great exposure and composition.
I like that you can barely make out the lady... it adds a sense of being
to that pier.
It's good to have you back.

I love it Paul, the perspective is great and so is the woman's ghostly image. Great b&w. It is good to have you back sharing your wonderful shots.

Great shot, Paul! Love the perspective! I feel your pain about not being able to get out. Glad to see you back! I've not been nearly as active either. Was out for a while during the holidays. Hope all is well! TFS

Great composition and the b&w also highlights the sky very nicely, which colour likely would not have.
