Default Working in Tones

Hi All,
I've been playing with B&W and monochromes recently. I like the way that these have turned out. I hope you like them. Thanks for looking!

Instant Happiness

Dark Chocolate Mocha Crunch squares. That's about 5 words that makes for instant happiness in my neck of the woods.

Too Many Knives

My kitchen knives. Very sharp.

It Comes After "Liger"

I know this one's a bit of a cliche, but not only is "Light" responsible for many, many things, not the least of which is photography, it comes after "Liger" in the dictionary. How cool is that?

Nice set. I love B&W, need to do more of it myself.
Isn't it great to get lost in the dictionary? I rarely just read what I went in looking for, you never know what you might learn.

I know just what you're talking about. Most of the time I get lost on the way to whatever I originally went in for. The same thing happens with Wikipedia. I go in looking to see when penicillin was discovered and come out newly educated about 13th century Mongolian folk art.

You have more discipline than I do, keeping chocolate around long enough to photograph it.... I like the different textures in the knives shot. Nice work!

Thank you! That's what drew me to the shot as well.

Ha! If you could have been there, you would've seen me gobble up the chocolate the minute I finished shooting it! It definitely was a challenge, considering how delicately the chocolate had to be handled so it didn't melt on my fingers. This was complicated by the fact that I couldn't decide on how to pose it. It was true torture! Thanks for the comment!

Nice contrasted shots, sharp and detailed, interestingly textured. TFS
