Default Wilderness Blockhouse

This is a re-creation of the John Anderson Blockhouse, representative of fortifications manned by the Holston Militia during conflicts between settlers and American Indians in the late 1770s. This is located near Natural Tunnel State Park in SE Virginia.

That's really interesting and it's a great shot too. Nice work.

Very interesting. I'ver enjoyed seeing the re-creation. Thanks for the glimpse of history.

I like the way the second floor is bigger than the ground floor.

It was closed the day I was there. I've been there before and the inside is wonderful. I think the steps up to the second floor were about 4 inches thick!
