Well I promised I would post more photos from our Caroni swamp, and over the holidays I went on more than one occasion. I got some more Scarlet Ibis and other critters, so I'm hoping you enjoy viewing these.
Scarlet Ibis in flight. ![]() The dark bird is a young scarlet ibis, they only turn red after about two years and after eating crabs, and the river shrimp abundant in our waters. The others are of course an egret and an adult ibis. I felt very lucky to have captured the three of them like this and only wish it was a sharper capture, but I do believe its still worth sharing. ![]() A bush master snake resting. ![]() A blue heron doing some grooming. ![]() Until next time please enjoy these. Michael

These are all wonderful shots Michael, I especially like the Bush Master, I'm guessing that your were at a safe range when you took it.
Beautiful birds as well. Thanks for sharing these Michael.

Hi Michael, Thank you for the privilege of seeing the Scarlet Ibis again. They are so beautiful in flight. They look like flying hibiscus. I'm trying to imagine dining on seafood everyday! Do you think the first two-years of being grey is nature's protection? Regarding the Bushmaster: while I am not overly fond of venemous snakes hanging about in trees, waiting, I presume to drag you off into the jungle, I'm not a bit opposed to a really great photo of one. Outstanding!
