Default What I like to do Best!

Good Morning DPS Family! Well, I'm just about done processing the photo's from my last Thailand trip; I almost filled up my 8 gig memory card and it's taken some time to get throught them.

I'm back to my 1st love this morning, Insect Macros.

Mantis (This one was either too fat to move or getting ready to lay eggs.)

Brown Mantis (I thought this was an Ant at 1st, but it's a Mantis in a color and body type I've never seen before)

Flying Insect on White Pedals (I just liked the contrast in this one, It looks like the insect has a 3rd eye on top, but I'm not sure if that's what it is.

Golden Hopper ( I liked the Golden framing around it's eyes. This little fellow is about 1/4 inch long. I wasn't sure what I had until I processed it.)

Well, It's time for work, I hope you enjoy these!
Have a Blessed Day!
Michael.

Well, Michael, you are Macro Man....these are awesome. I've never seen anything but a green mantis either. Very cool to see something different. These are awesome.

I think she may be ready to lay eggs. I love the third one, the petals look like feathers almost and I love the colour of the insect. Another great set of macros i am totally jealous of.

Hi Patrick, I think what you see is basically the flash reflections off the leaf. Sometime's it's hard to blend them out.

Thanks Michael! I wish I could have gotten a head shot of that one, perhaps I'll have another chance in the future.
