Arrow "Nights, Lawrenceville NJ" Night color studies.

Here are four images from a series I took over the last 8 hours. I'm driving down to Kentucky tomorrow and need to stay awake for the drive, so I figured I'de stay up all last night / this morning so I get a good nights rest. Rather than sitting inside I went out at about 3 and took images till the sunrise. No post, just four images that seemed to stand out for me. Let me know what you think.

Please feel free to click the images and view them on flicker in the largest format

Brilliant shots Known, love the street shot and what are the roots doing on that tree?

Oddly enough, I have no idea. The tree was too dark to see and I just noticed them now myself. Adds a nice visual element though. Thanks for the comment!

All these shots are fantastic. How did you do the "bowling alley" shot? Multiple exposures?

Thanks for your comment bmaher! It does look HDR but actually it's just one exposure. I forgot to include the exposure data in the original post so I'm going to edit it and put them in now. Basically, long exposure times with tripod. (And a whole lot of failed shots.) Bracketing is my best friend!

Yeah, good work. Love the second one. Very 'film noir'. I keep looking for the gumshoe PI in the ratty raincoat, tugged down fedora and skinny cigarette.

Thanks for sharing, I hope you got/get enough sleep for your trip. Drive safely, we want to see more of your pics.

Dude, I LOVE the second shot of the cars lit up by the street light. Amazing! Also, the sunset on the first shot is gorgeous! TFS.
