Default Not the prettiest bird...

I took this over the weekend at our local zoo and although he's not a pretty bird in the least, I still find him utterly striking. My only regret is the blown out whites at the top of the frame, but otherwise I'm very pleased with the detail. =)

Quite an interestng bird - looks like some sort of vulture-ish bird. Nice shot

Hate to say it, but he is one butt ugly bird... probably has a nice personality though....
The detail is fantastic. Great shot. TFS.

LOL He definitely is ugly but had a GREAT personality to be sure, showing off his 9ft wingspan too. It's an Andean Condor and this was the first time in all the visits to the zoo that I've had such a great opportunity. =)

I thought this was captured rather well as you managed to capture as much detail as was available given the circumstances with a moving creature

Thank you! LOL And no...not handsome at all, I sort of feel bad for him, but I'll never just pass him by after this!

I definitely think this is one of those "so ugly he's beautiful". Beauty is just a relative term. =)
