Finger On The Trigger
------------------------------- You know I never meant to hurt anyone... And I'll face the consequences for everything I done... And Lord sometimes I wonder if you're even there... Cause my burden is backbreaking, it's more than I can bear. Cause I lost my job, my bills are getting bigger... Crying baby, I'm bout to lose my mind Hundred dollar habit, ain't got a penny... Woman ran off with a friend of mine... Can't keep a job... too ****ed up... DHS is bout to take my kids Trying to get well, keep getting sicker... Sitting in the parking lot, finger on the trigger. -------------------------------- You know sometimes you get down, it seems like those times are never gonna get better. When it comes down to it, you break down. This is shot is about a breakdown like that. Its for all those that have had a moment like this, and for those who haven't, I hope you never will have to. When things go wrong, and keep going wrong, and you just can't seem to win. This shot is reminded me of that feeling, and the idea for the shot has been running through my brain for a while, I just finally found the perfect time. An acquaintance of mine recently committed suicide (I had only met him once, for a very short time, so there really wasn't a big impact on my life) and it got me thinking about the shortness of life. The car in the parking lot pulled up about five minutes after I took my camera out, and just stayed there for about an hour or two. No one got out, no one got in. The lights never turned on, nothing. I wonder what the driver was doing, that I'll never know. The lyrics are from a Bleu Edmondson song, very powerful song. I took this shot recently, after Deddy Wong posted his cityscape shot, and decided I would try to take a good shot. But long story short... I am just a bit lazy! However, I am not to lazy to begin to experiment with different functions of the camera. This shot was taken with double exposure with my 50mm 1.8. I used one shot in focus, and the other shot out of focus to create the bokeh in front of the picture, rather than behind it. I thought it was a rather novel idea. I'm sort of frustrated with my PP work, but I tried to make it an effective shot. Never the less, I hope you'll enjoy the shot. ---------- Finger On The Trigger ![]() Camera: NIKON CORPORATION Model: NIKON D90 ISO: 800 Exposure: 1/50 sec Aperture: 1.8 Focal Length: 50mm Thanks for checking out! - KT
