Smile Little Mr. Dudley

I would like to introduce little Mr. Dudley to you all. He is my daughter's 14-15 year old little elderly English gentleman. He is blind, deaf and can't find his way out the 'doggy door' any more. Last July he had a stoke, didn't eat for 9 days and was a 'limp wet dishrag with skin over bones'. Every hour I thought was his last. We took him in as 'hospice' care with plans of buring him when his time came. He is the sweetest little guy and being "English" definitely has a mind of his own! (I can say that because part of my ancestry is English and I definitely have a mind of my own!) Well, he is still here and is a little chubby (loves my special cooking to add to his food) and has a spring in his step! We have taken him in full time to relieve our daughter. He is definitely living on love and I just wanted to share him with you all!

Mr.D1091

Dolly, our Chihuahua with the unique ears, and Mr. Dudley sharing a bed.

Thanks for looking!

Great shots, Judy. I like how Dudley disappears into the background in the first one! TFS

Thank you. The reason he disappears is because we have large old trees in our backyard and therefore grass will not grow so what you see are the leaves that have fallen from the trees. He actually prefers walking on the leaves rather than grass. When I put him on grass he trembles! Thank you for stopping by and commenting on Mr. Dudley!

How lucky he is to have a loving family. I really love that last shot of the two doggies together. So sweet.

So adorable - both of them. Love Dolly's ears too. Very un-Chihuahua!

Dolly knows when Dudley is having a 'not so good' day and then she can be really sweet to him! When he is feeling good, she keeps trying to get him to play! Dolly thinks the entire world is her playground! Thank you for commenting on Mr. Dudley!

Some people would have had him 'put down', but he is not suffering or hurting...he is just getting old, which we will all do someday! Debbi loves him dearly and she has visitation rights, but now she also has a life! Thanks for stopping by and commenting on Mr. D.

Yes, every Chihuahua I have ever had have had ears that stood up, but Miss Dolly is full and registered Chihuahua and unique in every way...including her ears. Some times they will stand up and just flip over a little bit and other times they just flop! She is the sweetest, most mischievous, most active creature God ever created and the most loved! She has her daddy wrapped around all 4 paws!
