Default I Need Ideas!

I'm working on another project for Redeemer's Hope Church in San Antonio. (I'm in Kansas) I need to create a collection of photos that they can use for lesson plans and materials leading up to and including this year's retreat. (worksheets, flyers, booklets, slide shows...)

The theme this time is "Stop In The Name Of Love". The lessons will be about Christian discipline, behaviors, nurturing your relationship with God, enjoying God's creation, serving others, and a study of the Ten commandments and Jesus's commandment to love one another.

Here's a shot I took the other day:

Love One Another

I've started a gallery for them with a few shots.
Now I need ideas to get started.

I seem to be lacking in creative thinking today.

Any one got ideas?

How about pen and paper? No - not photos of pens and paper but sitting down with some of each and scribbling for a while. You might start by quickly sketching some of the ideas you have already but the medium of doodling and scrawling will help you grab, note and develop new ideas.

For example, you could begin with the scrabble blocks. What other words could you make? How about getting a cross in there (stop and love could join on the O... might not work but might bring up something else). I often find the photos I take when I use this method come out nothing like the ideas I jotted down but I think they are more creative for the time spent visualising things without having to worry about how to capture the light.

Thanks Wulf,
Good idea. I have a car ride coming up this weekend I'll take a notebook along.
I also may try to get into our Church building during the week and get a couple of shots of the stain glass. I've been meaning to do that anyway. If nothing else they might be able to use it as a background somewhere.
