Going back to last fall and digging out some more shots taken in the Sleuce Box Canyon.
![]() ![]() tree infected with pine beetles, we have wide spread problem and they are killing 1000's of acres of our forests. ![]() I found this quite interesting, what will actually grow from rocks.

These are wonderful, Duane. I really love the second one, with the angle of the rock layers and the gorgeous colors. Just beautiful!

Wow, stunning colors there Duane. I agree too, amazing what will grow out of the side of a rock! I remember seeing things sticking out from the rocks in Sedona, bizarre!

wow! love the sky in the first one Duane..the blueness of the sky contrasted beautifully with the rocks..sorry to hear about the pine beetle..that is one beautiful three though..

I love this set Duane. Are the rocks naturally like that? We had a similar infestation around here, the beetles have devastated our forest.

Fred, yes the rocks are natural. There use to be a lot of mining in this area, it is very rich in minerals.
