Default First post and some pics for c&c.

After a 5 year hiatus I have the photo bug again. I bought the new Canon 7D for Christmas and picked up a used 30D for my son. So far the bonding time has been great.

Here are two pics for you to comment and critique.

First up is my dog.
Shot at 1/60, 5.6 aperature ISO 400 and at 72mm

The second shot is from the motocycle show held last weekend. This is Jason Britton from Superbikes putting on a show.

Shot at 1/60, 5.6 aperature ISO 400 and at 120mm

Welcome to DPS....this looks just like my moms dog Juliet. Is she/he a shih tzu and maltese mix? She/he is beautiful. What is the name? Keep shooting and posting.

WELCOME to DPS
You have a beautiful dog, just like mine...however the photo is so large we can't see all of her. Also, if you want true critique, you'll have to move to the critique forum...this forum is just for sharing.
Nice shots.

My dog's name is Spike. He is part Shitz, part terrier. At 8 years old he is still a puppy at heart.

The shot of the dog is just the shoulders up as I wanted to catch the deviousness in his eyes.

I think more to the point your pictures do not fit on the screen of .. say.. a laptop. If you used smaller images with a link to full res ones those of us with smaller computer screens could see all of your image at once.

Very nice pictures BTW. Very crisp.

Lovely shots! Welcome to DPS - just so you know, there's a "Rules" thread at the top of the list of threads for "Share your Shots". It'll be a great help to you with regard to what size pics to upload etc. And like the other guys mentioned, this is mostly for sharing pics for enjoyment, so we typically don't include exif data etc - there is a specific group on this site that are great to use if you're looking for C&C though.
