Default Two Presidents' Eyes

Still playing with the reversing ring. Nothing creative . . . just trying to improve my focusing with this set up.

Andrew Johnson, from a US $20 bill:

Andrew Johnson

George Washington, from a US $1 bill (with a good deal of backlighting):

GW

No crop to either of these.

It amazes me how much detail (subtle color patterns, random fibers, etc.) go into these bills to deter counterfeiting.

Thanks for looking.

Very cool shots. I'm going to have to pick up one of those rings. The first one reminds me of pop art.

Thanks, Cap'n Jack. The focusing is getting a bit easier - don't know if it will ever be easy, though.

The rings are great, and not expensive - a win-win in my book.

Mike - I have many, many $20 bills for sale, all for the low, low price of $15 each. How many would you like?

Seems to me like you're working out the focusing thing. These are fantastic!
I might have to try the reversing ring with with the 50mm from my old Olympus film camera . . .

The first one IS pop art reminiscent! Haha
The second one is wonderful though! I've never notice how intensely George Washington stares up from that dollar bill! Nicely done

Thanks. A 50mm would work well with a reversing ring, as long as the lens has an aperture ring. If you get one, I'd love to see what you come up with!

Thanks very much, cookieluvr. GW does look intense, doesn't he? Thanks for noticing.

And if I remember, I'll likely take another GW photo without the backlighting (to make it look more like the first photo).
