Saw the arch for the first time during my move to Los Angeles from VA.

Wow, I've never seen this - cool perspective. I'll have to read up about it.

Very nice perspective. Up close detail, while still giving a good sense of scale. And the clouds almost don't look real.

Cool photo.

I live in Missouri and the arch is a beautiful structure with a lot of wonderful parts of St. Louis nearby. You can actually ride a tram up in it(there are windows at the top) or at least you used to be able to. The city itself has some great Pubs and Restaurants a world class zoo and lots of fun stuff to see and do.(It pains me to say, because I'm originally from KC). I've been in most states east of the Mississippi and west to Colorado and Missouri has some of the most tourist friendly spots I've seen. #1 is Virginia great vacation spot with lots of history.(If ya like that stuff and I do). So come to Missouri and bring your cameras and your appetites since we have the best BBQ in the world.

Yeah, the day I was there was absolutely gorgeous. Like one of you said, the clouds almost don't look real next to the arch. But I think the photo above had little to no pp.
