Yes Auckland, New Zealand is certainly the city of sails. Here are a few shots - unfortunately did not get the chance to catch
any shots of the yacht racing. The large yacht on show on the wharf is the one that of "Blue Water Black Magic" that won the America's Cup with the late Sir Peter Blake at the helm. They have now opened a New Zealand National Maritime Museum dedicated the Sir Peter. In the foreground isthe current NZ Challenger yacht and the public can pay to go racing each day between the two NZ boats - must be a thrill to be onboard. Wish I had with the camera. ![]() ![]() One of the New Zealand yachts today ![]() and Auckland City viewed from Devonport

Interestinpg pictures, Bernz! Those America's Cup yachts are something else. I like the view of Aukland city, especially with the swimming dock in the foreground.

Great set Bernz. I like the composition of the second shot. The harbour looks busy with cruise ships in the last shot.

Hey Bernz, I like the symetry the masts are giving to the shots. All great ones again. Auckland sure looks like a beautiful city, would love to visit there one day!

Love them Bernz - look at those beautiful blue skies and waters. The last one, the cityscape, is my ultimate favorite - I never tire of those kind of views. Gorgeous set. I have to say too that I did a double take when I opened up the thread since I'd misread your title as "City of Snails...."!
