Default couple of portraits and a story

For my first post in this section I decided to show you a photo of a man playing an old serbian music instrument and another with a man who is sharpening a tool for mowing lawns. Both the tool and instrument are handmade and carved. I would like these photographs have more details on but...some other time...
Music instrument is called "gusle" and the tool is called "kosa"... but for non-serbian speakers it is very difficult to pronounce these words
Nowadays, there are no people interesting in making this kind of music instruments, or mowing lawns by themselves, so this “way of living” will be soon forgotten (if it isn’t already). Modern Times...
There are festivities which take place several times a year, when people gather and participate in various competitions trying to relive old tradition, games, country music etc.
I hope you’ll find these photographs interesting and see something old but new for you

Wow, a couple of great portraits. Thanks for the background on the gusle and kosa too, very interesting. I love the PP you've done on the shots, it fits so well with these images. Welcome to DPS!

This thread is moving sooo fast!I didn't know that, since this is my first time in "Share your shots"
Honestly, I didn't get as much attention as I was hoping (not for my photos, but for people to see what they didn't see before) so this is my second try to get more viewers for this old instruments.
I apologies if I did something what I'm not supposed to do!

Definitely new for me. Love the instrument... so interesting.. Thanks for the background on it. The tool reminds me of a scythe... TFS.
