Default Street Lights - 365/12

365/12

Please view larger size here. I don't think the medium does it justice.

I love abstract stuff, and this is right up my alley! Such a fun shot, and your use of colors is magnificent. Great shot!

Thanks! I wasn't sure how this one would go over but I really like it too.

Wow! I am amazed...I wouldn't have a clue how to do that.

You can do it! It's just a long exposure. I set the ISO real low and the aperture to f/8 and just held the shutter open for 11 seconds, on "bulb" mode. You can do the same, have a buddy drive around while you take shots of street lights, you can get some cool abstract shots this way. This one in particular was taken while turning left at a light. As far as post processing goes, I added a couple textures, boosted the saturation and tweaked the exposure. Also, I want to note that I shoot in RAW- I find you get better results later during post-processing than with JPEG.
